Let's Write Cursive

Posts on Thursdays (Grades 3-12)

Course Objective:
The cursive writing course is designed to teach students the correct formation of both uppercase and lowercase cursive letters, helping them build neat, legible, and confident handwriting skills.

Course Description:
Students in this cursive writing course will learn to form lowercase cursive letters first, followed by uppercase letters, over the course of 15 weeks. Each week, students watch short, easy-to-follow video tutorials and practice the letters on printable worksheets provided for at-home use.

Students submit their worksheets for feedback, receiving personalized guidance on what they are doing well and tips to improve accuracy, consistency, and neatness. This ongoing coaching ensures that students steadily refine their handwriting and gain confidence in forming letters correctly.

In the final weeks (Weeks 13–15), the focus shifts to practical applications, allowing students to:

    • Write their own name in cursive

    • Practice cursive word and sentence writing

    • Complete a final assignment by writing a full letter entirely in cursive

By the end of this cursive writing course, students will have mastered the fundamentals of cursive handwriting and be able to use their skills in real-life applications. Parents and students alike will see noticeable improvements in letter formation, consistency, and overall writing fluency.

This course is perfect for homeschool and traditional students who want to develop strong cursive skills, improve handwriting, and build confidence in written communication. With step-by-step instruction, practice worksheets, and detailed feedback, students complete the course with the tools and skills to write clearly and beautifully in cursive.
